Fatigue
Factors that influence fatigue:
- Stress
- Fear of not being good enough
- Fear of being replaced
- Diet
- Sleep
- Time management
How to deal with it:
- Eat right
- Arrange your work area
- Keep hydrated
- Rest more often
- Allow more time to do things
- Budget your time better, no procrastination
- Daily to do list
- Limit outside commitments on work days
- Listen to music during the day
- Avoid caffeine
- Get regular exercise
- Medication to improve sleep
Environmental aspects that may help:
- Work too many hours per week
- Not enough days off to recover
- Too long shifts
- Canteen to sell salad and/or vegetables
- Longer leave periods e.g. over December holidays
- Flu or illness may cause them to be not 100% and a time to recover
- Better planned jobs leads to less stress for an employee
- Allow time for a worker to prepare and clean the area where he works
- Encourage team sports e.g. a soccer team or touch rugby team that represent the company
